Inside Ocean Invaders at SEA LIFE Melbourne: a dark room with two long backlit jellyfish tanks, each full of pale moon jellyfish. The walls and tank surrounds are wrapped in glowing blue jellyfish artwork, and small interactive touchscreens are set into them. The dark floor reflects the light.

SEA LIFE Melbourne

An original score for Ocean Invaders, the jellyfish exhibition.

  • Composer

Jellyfish are the one aquarium exhibit that is already theatre: lit tanks in a dark room, with the animals doing something slow and continuous. The score has no event to hit and nothing to punctuate — it works as an environment rather than a cue.
