Croc Drop
Original soundtrack for Chessington's flagship drop tower, built to hold tension through the climb and release it in a single bar.
- Composer
A drop tower gives a composer one of the cleanest structures in themed entertainment: a slow ascent, a held pause and a fall. Croc Drop's score is written around that shape — an ostinato that tightens as the tower climbs, a silence at the top that is scored rather than empty and a percussive release on the drop itself.
The queue and station music sit in the same harmonic world at lower intensity, so a guest waiting has already learned the theme by the time the ride uses it.
