The Devil is an Ass

Jonson's junior devil comes up to London to corrupt it and finds the city has long since got there without him. Scoring a play that old means deciding how much of its own period to wear: too much and the music becomes a costume, too little and four hundred year old verse has nothing underneath it.

Score and sound design are one credit here. Doing both means the seam between them is decided once rather than negotiated — the point where a cue stops being music and becomes the room the scene happens in.
