Café de Paris wanted a score that fitted the venue and the brand and still sounded new. Nick wrote it alongside Reuben Kaye and the creative team, then kept producing the music through rehearsals and early showings — the version that opened is not the version that was commissioned, by design.
Events Producer Tom Gravett's account is that the end product "far exceeded our expectations".
